Going To The Next Level Means Stepping It Up

I received new insight and revelation in prayer about what we as a community have been asking God for.  We’ve prayed, decreeded and declared that we’re going to the next level, a new level if you will.  Next level, next level, that sounds great!  What I recently discovered is that the next level requires some stepping up.  That created somewhat of a problem for me and here’s why?  I have become comfortable.  Not so much content, but comfortable.  You know how you feel on a cold morning all wrapped up under the covers.  You’re in a confortable position and don’t want to get out of bed even though you have a long list of ‘things to do’ that require you to turn the covers loose.  That’s how I felt.  I know God has place much in my heart to do as it relates to ministry and building the kingdom.  I’ve been challenged, but I was reminded that to whom much is given much is required.  I cannot afford to remain comfortable.  That’s what the prayer meetings have shown me.  Taking our rightful positions has come up a great deal during our Saturday prayer gratherings.  For me personally that called for a self-examination.  Am I operating in a leadership capacity as I should?  Am I impacting lives the way God has gifted me to do so?  Am I moved with compassion enough to step outside of the box or my comfort zone? Or am I just content making cameo appearances every now and then?  Some times we aren’t able to answer such questions ourselves, but God always has a ram in the bush.  He sends those who have the wisdom, compassion, and authority to say everything that’s needed to bring clarity and understanding.   What I now know for sure is that I have to step it up in order to migrate to the next level.  That means I have to rise up and flourish in my rightful position in the community.  I have to be bold enough to go over to the other side by force and eliminate everything that hinders me from operating in the full stature of Christ.  Being at the prayer grathering every week is equipping me to do just that.

  1. Marcus L. Radford says:

The scripture Apostle used,Ephesians 6:18, resonates strongly with me, as God has been unpackaging it to me for the past few years. It is so very important to be equiped as Paul describes in the previous verses(peace, truth, righteousness, faith, salvation, the Word of God). But synergy and coordination as well as timeliness and effectiveness are not a work for human ingenuity. However, when the Spirit of God can flow through us as He pleases, then we realize the synergy, coordination, timeliness, as well as effectiveness. The thing that facilitates this process is praying in the Spirit.
Knowing when to use which weapon isn’t altogether a learned skill. Yes, we must learn the value of each weapon and how to use it, but the victor emerges because he has learned to hear and execute what commands come from his commander. The skill in the use of the weapons but help us to accomplish the directive or instruction from the commander.
So, when to do what? how? to whom? how long? To be able to move in and out, up and down, firm then soft, rough then gentle, cutting to destroy or cutting to heal, swinging a hammer to tear down or swinging a hammer to build. Praying in the Spirit helps us to shift with accuracy and fruitfulness in a way that human ingenuity cannot compete or compare.
Jesus said my sheep hear my voice…the sheep follow him:for they know his voice. And a stranger they will not follow…If you abide in me and my word abide in you, then ask what you wish and it shall be done…Paul preached to Athenians that it is in God that we live, and move, and have our being…

So, after I have studied, observed, researched, tested, and tried, I still need to pray in the Spirit and get Papa God’s direction and instuction.

God will guide and direct, even when we don’t see it, understand it, agree with it, or know how to work it. Whatever we bind or loose, or decree, then it shall be done.

I need to invest in the time and energy to position myself to hear and obey the Voice of the Lord, then walk in the abundance that he leads me into.

I feel there is much more that I gained from Saturday’s prayer, but do not have the time to express.
